Francesco Guidotti becomes new Aprilia SBK team manager
The Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team has appointed a new team manager in Francesco Guidotti.
The brother of Giacomo Guidotti, technical director for Suzuki Alstare, Francesco returns to Aprilia to run the two rider Superbike team of Max Biaggi and Leon Camier.
The 37 year old from Florence, Italy began to work for Aprilia back in 1993 and in 2001 and 2002 was team manager of the Noale-based squad in World Superbike. Guidotti then switched to the Aprilia MotoGP project in the 2003 and 2004 seasons before running the last factory Aprilia team to take part in the 250 class in 2005.
In the last four seasons Francesco ran the KTM 250 GP team.
