WSBK the absolute star of EICMA

The Paddock Show was once again a big feature in Milan’s motorcycling exhibition.

The 72nd edition of Milan’s International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) drew to a close yesterday after six days of great excitement for two wheeled racing fans and motorcycle enthusiasts.

The eni FIM Superbike World Championship played once again a key role in the event, with the massive SBK Paddock Show structure welcoming the attendants and featuring many initiatives for the duration of the exhibition.

Riders were obviously the key attraction from Thursday to Sunday, as they took turns on the Paddock Show stage that they appear on regularly during the WSBK racing season. The series’ protagonists were warmly welcomed by the many fans as they took part in Q&A sessions and interacted with the crowd by signing autographs and posing for pictures.

New Superbike World Champion Sylvain Guintoli, this year’s title runner up Tom Sykes, as well as Marco Melandri, Chaz Davies, Leon Haslam, Alex Lowes plus the WSS, STK1000 and STK600 title winners Michael van der Mark, Leandro Mercado and Marco Faccani to name but a few had their chance to speak about their 2014 season as well as their plans for next year.
