Davies and Bayliss roll on into Thailand

Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Superbike Team excited about Buriram.

Following a promising start to the 2015 WorldSBK season, with Chaz Davies collecting two podium finishes at Phillip Island, the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Superbike Team is looking for more success as the eni FIM Superbike World Championship now travels to Thailand for the first time.

“I had the chance to visit the Chang International Circuit while visiting Ducati Thailand in January this year,” says Welshman Davies. “It looks like an amazing facility and a great track and I’m always keen to race at new circuits. After the results achieved in Australia, I’m feeling even more motivated and am looking forward to getting back to work this weekend and seeing what we can do.”

Team-mate Davide Giugliano remains out of action, having fractured vertebrae in a Phillip Island testing crash, and is expected to be back on-track for Round 5 at Imola. In the meantime, three-time World Champion Troy Bayliss will race once again.

“Firstly I’d like to thank the team for giving me another chance to ride the Panigale R,” states the world title winner of 2001, 2006 and 2008. “I’m excited to get back on track and, at what is a brand-new circuit for everyone, so we’ll all start on a level playing field. I’ve been training hard in recent weeks and am feeling well prepared for the challenge. I can’t wait to get started.”

The Chang International Circuit is located in Buriram Province, just under 400 kilometres north-east of Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok.
