Orellana wins epic fight in opening EJC race
The eight-rider battle at the front ends with Grassia and Pusceddu on the podium.
Last year’s Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda runner-up Javier Orellana (Europ Foods) has overcome fierce competition to claim victory in the opening race of 2015 at MotorLand Aragon today. The 17-year-old from Alicante, Spain edged out Paolo Grassia (MVR Racing Team) by only 0.028 at the line, with fellow Italian Emanuele Pusceddu (SK & Itaba Moto) completing the podium.
Today’s rostrum finishers were part of an eight-rider leading pack with Mika Perez (RBC Team), Hannes Soomer (Lub Line Auto24Ring), Matteo Ciprietti (Ciprietti Corse), Guillaume Raymond (Activebike) and Illan Fernandez, who were fourth to eighth at the chequered flag.
