Team Go Eleven expecting no miracles

2015 serves as a Superbike scholarship for Denis Sacchetti’s team.

It’s all-change for both Team Go Eleven and Roman Ramos in 2015. Not only are the two parties working together for the first time, but there is much to learn.

In the case of the team, the change involves running in the World Superbike class for the first time, alongside World Supersport and the FIM Europe Superstock 600 Championship. As for the rider, Spaniard Ramos switches to the eni FIM Superbike World Championship from the Moto2 World Championship, having claimed the Moto2 title of the FIM CEV Repsol in 2013.

“World Superbike has been a dream for us for many years,” says Team Manager Denis Sacchetti. “We got the possibility to do this project and we have made this step – a big step for the team. We are very happy and excited by this possibility.

“For Roman, it is difficult because Moto2 is a completely different riding style. Now he needs to learn the Superbike style: much more power, more weight and more speed. Many things change.

“It’s the first time for him and for us, so the goal is to score points and improve ourselves race by race.”

The journey will continue with Round 2 in Thailand on Sunday 22 March, off the back of a strong start to 2015 in Australia; at Phillip Island, Ramos just missed out on points in the opening race but delivered an impressive top ten performance in Race 2, racking up his first six WorldSBK points in the process.
