Fahmi’s Confidence Boosted by Knowledge of MotorLand Aragón

Wednesday, 30 March 2016 13:46 GMT

Malaysian WorldSSP rider returns to a track he knows well from Moto3

Unlike his previous challenge in Buriram, MotorLand sees Zulfahmi Khairuddin return to familiar ground for Round 3 of the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship. The Malaysian has competed in Aragon since 2010 in the Moto3 World Championship and in the 125 World Championship before that, and was based in Spain throughout those six seasons of competition.

“My biggest advantage will be that I know this track very well; having competed during my Moto3 days,” said Khairuddin. “Buriram may be nearer to Malaysia; but it was the first time that I competed on that track in Round 2 earlier this month. Hence, I am very positive and confident for Round 3 and looking forward to the race this weekend.

“My mastery of the 600cc Kawasaki machine is improving very well; though I must admit that there is still room for further improvement. The bike was much, much better in Round 2 and I hope that it will be even better for Round 3. My sincere thanks to all the team members that have been working very hard on the preparation of the bike and for having given their fullest support from Day 1.

“I would also like to thank Sepang International Circuit (SIC) for initiating the #supportfahmi63 campaign and getting so many fans on board, it certainly helps to boost my confidence,” added Fahmi.
