Barni Racing rider Xavi Forés impresses in two-day test.

The Spanish rider registered the sixth fastest time at the Andalucian track, positively concluding the collective two-day session. In only his second outing on the Barni Racing Team’s Ducati 1199 Panigale R, the Valencian rider was able to build on the good feeling on the bike to prove his speed in each test session, including heading the timesheets for much of the second day with a lap of 1:40.761.

“I’m satisfied with the two days of testing. We’ve managed to get a great base with which we can work towards the first race in Phillip Island and improve the set up a lot. This helped me get into a great rhythm and be pretty fast, even though other teams have had more time on track than us over the winter. Now I’m going to try and work on the performance on the qualifying tyre, but in general I’m feeling positive and happy with the work we’ve done.”

Forés and his Bergamo-based team will be back on track on the 22nd of February for the final pre-season test in Phillip Island, which prefaces the first WorldSBK round of racing in 2016.
