2015 WorldSBK Champion collects Joey Dunlop Memorial Trophy in honour of stunning season.

WorldSBK man to beat Jonathan Rea won the Irish Motorcyclist of the Year Award last night at the Cornmarket Motorbike Awards in Belfast. After a 2015 season that saw him make a record start and win the title with time to spare, the crown was presented to the Kawasaki rider once again, but this the first time as a World Champion. The Northern Irishman, who was recently testing alongside teammate Tom Sykes in Jerez in preparation for 2016, ended the season just shy of Colin Edwards’ record points tally in WorldSBK, 132 points clear of nearest challenger Chaz Davies.
