Malaysian circuit launches campaign to support local rider Khairuddin

2016 marks the third year that Sepang International Circuit is set to host WorldSBK, with a special campaign having been launched in support of home rider Zulfahmi Khairuddin, who joins WorldSSP from the Moto3 World Championship. Speaking at the official launch of the WorldSBK 2016 Malaysian Round, SIC (Sepang International Circuit) Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Razlan Razali confirmed there would even be a seating zone in support of the home hero, the ‘Fahmi63 Tribune’, in the Main Grandstand’s Diamond zone, facing the starting grid and podium.

The launch saw the attendance of Zulfahmi himself as a special guest, thrilling the guests when he turned up with a group of young pocket bike riders.

As well as the new fan-focused schedule in WorldSBK from 2016, the Malaysian Round also features the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup and the opening round of the Malaysia Superbike Championship as support races. Visitors can also look forward to returning crowd pleasers, such as getting up close to the riders at the WorldSBK Paddock Show, which includes the riders’ autograph sessions, as well as other activities like the track stunt show, safety car ride, public pit lane walk, pit tour, Opening Ceremony Bike Parade, and an auto carnival offering just about everything a bike enthusiast could want.

Tickets for the Malaysian Round start from only RM38.16 for the K1 Grandstand and RM87.98 for the Main Grandstand, with various packages available.

Tickets for the Fahmi63 Tribune are offered at RM63 for purchases from April 1 to 12 May, after which tickets will be sold at the normal price of RM119.78. Each ticket includes exclusive Fahmi 63 merchandise.

Fans with disabilities will be able to purchase tickets for designated OKU seating areas at 50% off the normal price up until race day. Children below 7 years can watch the race free.
