Scassa weighs up two options

"2009 was a learning year but now the time has come to make a step forward in quality," declared Scassa. "I learnt a lot of things last season, I'm generally pretty satisfied with my debut and now I can't wait to get back on the bike".

Luca started racing in 1999 on a 125 Sport Production bike but in a ten year racing career he already has carved out considerable success. Winner of the Aprilia 250 Challenge in 2001 and the Italian Superstock 600 Cup in 2003, Scassa won his first Italian title in 2006 on a Superstock 1000 MV Agusta, while two years later he again took MV Agusta to the top in Italy for the first time in 34 years when he won the CIV Italian Superbike Championship.

"Every year I try to improve and in 2010 I'll be starting off with this aim in mind" he added. "As for the bikes, I have a couple of offers from two different teams to race in the Superbike World Championship again and I'll be making a decision in the next few days".
