Neukirchner aims for Imola return
Almost 8 weeks after the operation in Monza and after a close check-up by Dr. Kupfer the wires have been taken off from Max Neukirchner's foot in a Chemnitz hospital. The small surgical procedure was carried out under anesthetic without any complications and took about 15 minutes.

Max was then able to leave the clinic a couple of hours later. The Alstare Suzuki rider will now embark on a tough training program during the next couple of weeks in order to be ready for the test at Imola in a fortnight. There he wants to pick up smoothly the race pace of his Suzuki GSX-R 1000, so that he can make a successful comeback at Brno.

"I could hardly wait to get rid of the wires," he said. "Now I can start at last with the training of my right leg. During the last few weeks I have had to reduce the training to my upper part of the body and my left leg. My goal is still to race in Brno again. Brno is one of my favorite tracks and a lot of fans are always there. It is like a second home race for me. Maybe I can go to Imola for testing. I would like to get used to the bike and the race there without any stress."
