21-year-old Alfonso Coppola made his debut in the European Junior Cup in 2015 and immediately showed his potential taking his first podium soon the same year and two in the following season. For 2017 Coppola joined SK Racing in WorldSSP300 and became one of the title contenders.
The Italian completed an impressive season taking one win, three seconds and three thirds and classifying second overall in the standings. 2018 welcomed a new challenge as the youngster moved over to GRT Yamaha Junior Team to contest the European Round of WorldSSP.
Ending third in the standings in the European Supersport Cup, Coppola heads now into his first full-time WorldSSP season with the Honda CBR600RR of GEMAR – Cioiciaria Corse WorldSSP Team.
