Spanish star Héctor Barberá heads into his first full time season in WorldSSP after joining the series in 2018 for the final four rounds of the year.
Coming from an extensive career in the MotoGP™ paddock, the 32-year-old from Valencia, made his first appearance onto the world stage in 2002 and finished third in the 125cc World Championship in 2003 and second in 2004. From there, he moved up to the 250 cc World Championship where he had competed for five seasons, before making the jump in 2010 to MotoGP™ where he made over 130 starts.
In 2018 Barberá rode the first six races of the Moto2™ Championship before making a successful step into WorldSSP with the ZX-6R of the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing team.
Riding on completely new race tracks for his first three races in Supersport before taking to the track at Losail in Qatar, the Spaniard was able to build on his pace and become a regular top ten finisher.
Joining Team Toth for 2019, Barberá aims to succeed aboard the YZF-6R of the Hungarian team.
