Breaking through as a promising figure onto the Italian motorcycle scene, Michael Canducci made his debut in the FIM Supersport World Championship in 2016, replacing Australian Aiden Wagner in the GRT Racing Team for the final four rounds of the season, on an MV Agusta. Although he did not finish in the points, the performances of the 19-year-old Ravenna rider attracted the attention of Manuel Puccetti, who gave him the opportunity to race his first full season in the category with the Puccetti Racing Junior Team FMI. Securing a fastest lap and three top ten finishes, he now heads to Team GoEleven Kawasaki in search of podium finishes.
