Son of three-time WorldSBK Champion Troy Bayliss, Oli Bayliss’ arrival in 2023 brought one of the most notable surnames in motorcycling back to the WorldSBK paddock – and on a Ducati. He spent his first season in the Championship with Barni Ducati, achieving a top six finish as a best result, before switching to Davide Giuliano’s D34G Racing squad, again on the Panigale V2. An injury hit campaign in 2023 followed but he returned in 2024 to complete an all-Australian line-up for the team, alongside Tom Edwards. Bayliss’s 2024 season was a healthy improvement on 2023’s effort, improving from 21st in the championship standings to 14th, landing a season’s-best performance at Race 1 in Phillip Island with a fifth place finish. This season he will race with PTR Triumph Factory Racing after three years racing on Ducati machinery.
