Victor Steeman made his debut in WorldSSP300 in 2018 and scored points on his debut as a sign of things that were to come for the 22-year-old Dutchman. A first pole position followed in 2019 as he took fifth in the Championship standings before a year out of the world stage in 2020 came. He returned in 2021, with KTM machinery as he had done in 2018 and 2019 and became a race winner as he won at the Autodrom Most. A switch to Kawasaki machinery for 2022 heralded more success for Steeman as he fought for the Championship, taking four wins and five podiums, as well as three pole positions. Sadly, the Dutchman passed away following a serious incident in Race 1 at Portimao. Steeman’s talent on track and his personality off track will always be remembered in the WorldSBK paddock.
