19 year old Ukrainian Ilya Mikhalchik first arrived in the WorldSBK paddock in 2012 competing in the European Junior Cup. In 2014 he moved up to STK600 with the Go Eleven team, and last year contested the last three rounds with the DS Junior Team. The Ukranian rider continually improved until managing a fifth in Magny-Cours. In 2016 he will continue with the DS Junior Team and will ride a Kawasaki ZX-6R throughout the season.
