Fabrizio heads BMW Italia 2-3 at Silverstone

After a gap of 18 rounds, Michel Fabrizio stepped back on the WSBK podium thanks to a second place in race 1 at Silverstone. For the BMW Motorrad Italia GoldBet rider it was his 34th podium in the category, one that came at the end of a race characterized by difficult conditions that made the fight for the win spectacular and unpredictable. Fabrizio scored the best result and the first podium for the team run by ex-rider Serafino Foti, and it was made even sweeter with a third place for Ayrton Badovini in a spectacular finish.

'It all went well' declared Fabrizio, 'and is quite a satisfactory result after what has been a very difficult period. A big thanks to the team which has always worked well, I'll happily take this second place which I think was well-deserved, I wanted it at all costs and I fought to the bitter end to get it!'

Race 2 had a different ending however, as Fabrizio started carefully to avoid any mistakes or crashes right until it was stopped due to the appalling conditions on lap 10. Due to the countback to lap 8 Fabrizio finished in thirteenth place. 'I was a bit more careful in the second race, because I saw that the conditions were terrible and everyone around me was crashing, but unfortunately the race was stopped and I finished outside the top 10'.
