Lanzi back to WSBK with Mesaroli Racing
A new team is set to debut in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship for the penultimate round of the season, that will take place the upcoming weekend at Magny-Cours. The Italian Team Mesaroli Racing Ducati will contest the final two events of 2013 and line-up a 1198RS that will be ridden by former WSBK regular and multiple race winner Lorenzo Lanzi.


The 31-year old from Cesena will be at his first participation of the year in the series, on the track where he won in 2005 (Race 2). The team underwent a one-day test last week at Mugello to allow Lanzi to get to grips with the bike.


"I'm really happy of the chance given to me by the Mesaroli team." said Lorenzo Lanzi. "During the season I had other offers, but not as exciting as this one. This team was born from passion for motorcycle racing was created by motorcycle racing enthusiast who want to race at the highest level of competition. I kept training in the meantime, I'm fit and ready to ride."
