The Spaniard enjoyed a successful race day at Misano.

David Salom (Kawasaki Racing Team) headed once again the EVO field in the two 21 lappers of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”. The experienced Spanish rider had a good battle in race 2 with the returning Sylvain Barrier (BMW Motorrad Italia Superbike Team) and, due to the DNF by Niccolò Canepa (Althea Racing Team Ducati) he managed to extend his lead in the category.

“I was definitely faster in Race 1 than in Race 2” said David Salom. “In the second outing Sylvain (Barrier) was surprisingly fast, I never thought he would have been so quick. We battled out through the entire race and I passed him on the last lap, because he had to drop one position. It was a very good day for me, the whole Kawasaki Racing Team and Motocard. We need to continue in this direction.”
