Former Italian Supersport Champion Roberto Tamburini is currently contesting his fourth full season in the Supersport World Championship, the first one aboard the ZX-6R of the San Carlo Puccetti Racing Team. The 23 year old from Rimini is getting ready for the first home round of the season at Imola, hoping to do well in front of the warm Italian crowd.

"It's a great thing for me" said Roberto Tamburini "in the first race ever with the new team I managed to score a fifth place finish and set the fastest lap as well. I feel like this year I can make a step forward and finally challenge for the top placings. I reckon it is possible now to challenge for the podium. Racing in Italy is always special for every local rider and Imola is a great track, I hope we'll have a strong weekend."
