IodaRacing rider undergoes operation on right arm

Aprilia rider Alex De Angelis has undergone a successful operation on his right arm. The surgery, performed by Dr Guido Staffa at the Vasta Romagna Nervous System Unit in Faenza, was intended to repair the lateral cord of the brachial plexus in the right bicep muscle and was completed successfully with no problems, lasting around two hours.

The injury to his right bicep dates back to the terrible accident suffered by De Angelis in October in Free Practice for the Motegi GP in Japan. The rider from San Marino will remain in hospital for a few days before beginning his recovery proper in order to be ready for Round 3 of the WorldSBK season at MotorLand Aragon at the beginning of April.
