Aprilia riders satisfied after day on track ahead of Round 8

IodaRacing riders Lorenzo Savsdori and Alex De Angelis spent a day testing at Misano before WorldSBK gets back on track for another battle at the circuit on the Riviera di Rimini, with both riders able to get good track time on their RSV4RF machines despite rain in the afternoon.

The lap times recorded by the two riders were encouraging and despite the arrival of the rain, Lorenzo Savadori and Alex De Angelis managed to make 63 and 65 laps respectively, picking up an good amount of interesting data that is sure to be useful for the upcoming Races at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

“It was a good day, but just the morning,” said De Angelis. “After that it started to rain so we couldn’t get everything done we had in mind, but it’s helped us be readier and therefore quicker in Misano straightaway from Friday, and also to have a clearer picture of what we have to try.”

“The test was affected by the rain,” agreed teammate Savadori. “But we managed to make good use of the morning. We still have to do some kilometers to catch up what we lost at the start of the season, because we missed pre-season testing. We tried some things and we’ve got good data to use over the Race weekend in Misano.”

The Aprilia riders will be Racing again at the Riviera di Rimini track from the 17th-19th of June for Round 8 of the 2016 WorldSBK Championship.
