Khairuddin in the Top Ten at Home
WorldSSP rookie hits the ground running in Sepang
Orelac Racing Verdnatura rider Zulfahmi Khairuddin graduates straight through to Tissot-Superpole 2 after Day 1 at Sepang International Circuit, with the Malaysian rider ending the day ninth fastest and earning his place in the top ten. Khairuddin, a previous pole sitter and podium finisher at Sepang in the Moto3 World Championship, was also quick in the rain hit FP2 session on Friday, and ended that session fifth.
“Today the bike is working really well and I´m looking forward to tomorrow,” said Fahmi. “At the last round we found a good base set up and arriving in Malaysia we haven’t touched the bike so much. I really like riding the Supersport bike in Sepang, which I´ve never done before, and I feel really good.”
Fahmi has a special area in the stands to support him with the #SupportFahmi63 campaign, and the home hero will be back on track at 11:15am local time (GMT +8) on Saturday.
