Who’s launching this week?
The 2017 season is right around the corner and our WorldSBK teams are making their final preparations for the year ahead as their bikes are ready to be revealed this week.
You will have the chance to see the bikes in all their glory for the first time this season live on WorldSBK.com, as well as hear from the riders themselves.
Kawasaki Puccetti Racing are the first team of the week to produce their colours, as they make the step up into the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. Alongside their well-established World Supersport team, the squad will have a junior WorldSSP team for 2017; Puccetti Racing Junior Team FMI. They are also making a debut in the new World Supersport 300 series, meaning there will be plenty to see at their launch this Sunday, 5th February at 10pm.
Set in the spectacular Hangar-7 in Austria on Monday 6th February, Honda World Superbike Team will be revealing their racing colours two weeks before the official test in Phillip Island. Both Nicky Hayden and Stefan Bradl will be beside their new Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 machines, keen for the season to officially get underway and see their bikes in their full colours. Tuesday 7th February will see Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK showcase their new colour schemes aboard the YZF R1, with Alex Lowes and new to the team Michael van der Mark present at Yamaha Motor Racing Headquarters in Gerno di Lesmo, Italy. Yet another impressive location for a team launch, Aruba.it Racing – Ducati will produce their 2017 machines in Data Center Aruba IT1. Wednesday 8th February hosts the WorldSBK and STK1000 team launches, LIVE at 10am. Hopeful championship contenders for the season ahead, Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri will be present, and with our live stream you will be able to hear from the riders themselves of their thoughts of the year ahead.
Barcelona is the location for the World Championship team to launch their new colours for the new season, with Kawasaki Racing Team revealing their colours on Thursday 9th February. Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes will get the first look at their ZX-10RR in the official colours, as they hope to continue with their championship fighting pace from Australia.
