Red Bull Honda rider looking to end difficult season on a high note

It has been an admittedly tough season for Leon Camier and the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team, with injuries and other issues impeding the Fireblade from gathering any kind of momentum after a successful start to the year. There is still one round left on the calendar however at Losail International Circuit, and good results here could provide a much-needed boost before facing the start of a new season.

The English rider’s results have taken a slight dip since suffering an injury during the summer break, with top ten finishes not coming as easily and new parts not functioning yet as expected. This is however still the same rider who was fighting for podium finishes in Australia and Thailand, so the potential is still there to be unleashed.

Camier’s best results in Qatar are the two ninth-place finishes he claimed last season in his final races on the MV Agusta – two results that the 32-year-old is hopeful to improve upon this year: “We’re looking forward to the last race of the season and continuing to understand the bike and find the speed. The team have been working hard back at the workshop to try and find what has been going on. We have a slightly revised approach for the weekend, so we will have to see how that changes things. I'm looking forward to finishing the season on a high note”.
