Continuous pain sees Leon Camier declared unfit for the remainder of the opening round of 2020

Despite giving it his best efforts throughout preseason and during the opening day of the Yamaha Finance Australian Round, Leon Camier (Barni Racing Team) has been declared unfit for the remainder of the weekend. The British rider suffered a nasty crash during preseason testing at MotorLand Aragon when he was leading the session, damaging his left shoulder. Consequently, functional impairment of the shoulder has ruled the 33-year-old out of opening round action.

Camier had completed a total of 13 laps and opted to sit out the wet FP1 in the morning. With the fewest amount of laps completed out of all riders in WorldSBK, Camier will take no further part at Phillip Island, a circuit where he has enjoyed plenty of success at before. The Brit will hope to be back at Losail in two weeks.
