Having done the damage at the Aragon test back in November, Leon Camier looks set to be fighting fit as 2020 approaches…

Leon Camier (BARNI Racing Team) has undergone successful surgery on his shoulder injury, sustained in a testing crashing at the MotorLand Aragon circuit in November. The British rider missed the Jerez test but will head into the new year with plenty of optimism, after a successful Christmas Eve operation in Barcelona.

Camier’s collaboration with the BARNI Racing Team is one of the most exciting changes on the WorldSBK grid for 2020, but it didn’t get off to a great start after a crash at Aragon on the 14th November. Although doctors had stated that no surgery would be needed, further examinations suggested that an operation would be necessary to enable a full and faster recovery. Stabilising the shoulder and repairing the two torn tendons, Camier’s festive period has been a productive one.

Camier has already been discharged from hospital and will now look to heal in time for the season-opening round at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Australia.
