Mahias ruled out of Race 1 at Magny-Cours, to be reassessed on Sunday
The French rider crashed at high speed during the Tissot Superpole Session and will not compete in Race 1
The Tissot Superpole session came to a dramatic end for Lucas Mahias (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) after he suffered from a high-speed crash at Turn 1 at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours during the Motul French Round in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, with Mahias unable to re-mount his machine following the crash.
Mahias was taken to the medical centre for a check-up following the crash where he was diagnosed with multiple contusions, a left thigh hematoma and a minimal head injury. Due to these injuries, he will not compete in Race 1 today and his participation in Sunday’s action will be assessed tomorrow morning before the WorldSBK Warm-Up session.
