Philipp Oettl (Team GoEleven) will miss the remainder of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship’s visit to the Circuito Estoril for the Estoril Round after fracturing his right collarbone in a crash during FP2. Oettl was looking to set a good lap time to move himself into the top ten, but a crash at the high-speed Turn 13 means he will now miss the remainder of the weekend.

In FP1, Oettl finished in 13^th place on his first visit to Estoril on WorldSBK machinery as he looked to adjust to the circuit on his Panigale V4 R. He followed that up with 15^th in FP2 although he had been on a lap that would have put him inside the top ten before his crash at Turn 13; in the combined classification, he was also in 15^th place and just three tenths away from a spot in the top ten.
