Oscar Gutierrez with Pedercini Racing for Magny-Cours and Barcelona
The Spanish youngster will make his WorldSBK race debut following a strong showing during the two-day test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
TPR Team Pedercini Racing will field Oscar Gutierrez in the next two rounds of the 2022 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Gutierrez, who has valuable Red Bull Rookies experience as well as two Spanish Supersport titles to his name from 2019 and 2020, finished third overall in Spanish Superbikes last season. The talented Spaniard has been one of the leading riders in ESBK this year and following a successful maiden outing with Pedercini Kawasaki team on day one in Barcelona, will make his WorldSBK debut in France in a couple of weeks.
Team principal Lucio Pedercini was pleased to announce Gutierrez following a strong showing in Barcelona: “We are very happy with the progress that Oscar has made in Barcelona and that we have been able to agree terms for him to ride with us in France and Spain. He has a lot of potential and we are excited to see what we can achieve together.”
Gutierrez is thrilled to be part of the Italian team to make his WorldSBK racing debut: “I have adapted well to the Kawasaki, which is a new bike for me. They tyres are also new and I am enjoying the experience of being in World Superbike. I am looking forward to the final day of testing in Catalunya and to racing in France and also in my home race for TPR Team Pedercini.”
