The contingent of riders from Northern Ireland in the SBK paddock has grown once more, with news that Superstock 600 European championship rider Josh Elliot has been confirmed as a 2010 competitor.

A native of Ballinamallard, Northern Ireland, Josh was Irish mini-moto champion in 2005 and 2006, and rode in the Red Bull Rookie championship in 2008.

At the tender age of 14 years he started competition in the German IDM Supersport series last year. After turning 15 he scored two podium finishes, the youngest rider ever to do so.

Competing for the Racedays Honda team in 2010, Josh is a protégé of a certain Jeremy McWilliams, via the Racedays Superbike Academy track school.

He will run a Honda CBR600RR motorcycle prepared by PTR (Parkalgar's tuners) with Josh's next ambition to run in World Supersport.
