Brazilian rider Eric Granado made a one-off appearance with the MIE Racing Honda Team in 2020 and returns to both the Championship and the team full-time for 2023. He has spent time in MotoE™, competing against fellow WorldSBK rookie Dominique Aegeter for the title in recent seasons, and will look to reignite that rivalry in WorldSBK.
The 26-year-old took the FIM CEV Moto2™ European Championship in 2017, his third season in the Championship, while he also embarked on a career inside the MotoGP™ paddock. He joined the MotoE™ World Cup in its inaugural campaign and has been a stalwart ever since, taking third in 2019, seventh in 2020, fourth in 2021 and second in 2022.
