Jake Gagne is a new face joining the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship for 2018, as the American takes the second bike in the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team. At 25 years of age, Gagne comes to the WorldSBK paddock as a veteran of international and American competition. Racing in Red Bull Rookies Cup, Spanish CEV championship as well as a Moto2 wild card, Gagne began his permanent riding career in MotoAmerica in 2014. Securing the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike title, he then moved swiftly into the Superstock 1000 class before a step up into the Superbike class. With a two hard fought seasons in the class, he will now take the step back onto the world stage as he revisits the Red Bull Honda World Superbike Team - with whom he raced for on three occasions in 2017. Taking his best result of 12th at Qatar, he looks forward to a season travelling with WorldSBK.
