Australian Hook comes to WorldSBK after securing an impressive 2nd place in the Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race alongside Dominique Aegerter, the man he was also brought in to substitute after the Swiss rider’s crash at MotorLand in Moto2 in 2015. Before that, Hook began in the Red Bull Rookies cup before moving into Australian Supersport for 2012. Coming second in the title, Hook then graduated to the Australian Superbike Championship, coming 5th in 2013, and then rode in the 2014 Australasian FX Superbike Championship alongside the Australian FX Superbike Championship. Taking part in his first Suzuka 8 Hours in 2013, it was third time lucky for the Hook last year, raising his international profile before making the leap to WorldSBK.
