Starting out on the world stage in 2011, Nottinghamshire born Ryde competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for two seasons, alongside the British 125 Championship of which he was crowned champion in 2011. Taking the title of the youngest ever British 125cc Champion he soon progressed through the classes and took a second British title in the British National Superstock 600 series in 2014. Moving into the British Supersport Championship in 2015 gave the 19 year old the opportunity to enter the World Superbike paddock, and he took a podium finish in his Wild Card appearance in the World Supersport class at Donington Park.
Ryde began 2016 with Ranieri Med – SC Racing, however the team pulled out mid-way through the season meaning Ryde was forced to find another team for the remainder of the season, which he found with Schmidt Racing. For 2017 the youngster will ride with the reigning WorldSSP team champions; Kawasaki Puccetti Racing alongside Kenan Sofuoglu, a ride which will no doubt allow Ryde to show his full potential.
