Marcel Schroetter is another of the competitors who has arrived in WorldSSP in 2023 from the MotoGP™ paddock. 11 years of experience in Moto2™ and five podiums came his way before his WorldSSP switch, when he linked up with the MV Agusta Reparto Corse team on the F3 800.

Schroetter will return in 2025 for what will be his third campaign in World Supersport. In his relatively short time in the championship, he wasted no time in distinguishing himself. After a 2022 season in which he appeared in only two races as a challenge rider at Phillip Island, in 2023 he earned a third place finish in the overall Rider Championship, with six second-place finishes and one third place finish.He followed that up with another strong showing in 2024, finishing fifth overall. This coming 2025 season will present a new opportunity however for Schroetter, he will now be competing with WRP Racing, now riding on Ducati machinery for the first time in his World Supersport career.
