About

Moto2™ Champion Tito Rabat is embarking on his third manufacturer in WorldSBK after Ducati and Kawasaki as he links up with the Motoxracing Yamaha squad for 2025 as part of an expanded two-bike effort. The #53 brings valuable experience from both WorldSBK and MotoGP™ to the team alongside rookie Bahattin Sofuoglu.

Yamaha (2025-)

Rabat moved to the Yamaha R1 bike for 2025 to make it three manufacturers for him in WorldSBK, after Ducati and Kawasaki. He links up with the Independent Motoxracing Yamaha team as he looks to help both the team and his rookie teammate, Bahattin Sofuoglu.

Kawasaki (2021-2024)

After a difficult start to the season with the Barni Ducati team, Rabat made the move to Kawasaki Puccetti Racing for the end of the 2021 season as he fought for points on a regular basis. He returned to the team in 2022 for the Emilia-Romagna Round as a replacement rider, and again for the second half of 2023. In 2024, he secured a full-time seat with Manuel Puccetti’s team and claimed a best result of P10 on two occasions.

Ducati (2021)

Rabat’s maiden season came in 2021 as he joined the Barni Spark Racing Team on the Panigale V4 R machine. While he scored two top-ten finishes at Estoril in Round 2, they were his only top-ten finishes of the season. He parted ways with the team halfway through the season.

Before WorldSBK

Rabat’s world stage debut came in 2005 in the 125cc World Championship where he took three rostrums over the course of his five years before moving up to Moto2™. It was in the intermediate class where the #53 really broke through, taking 13 wins and 33 podiums in his four years including the 2014 title while he also finished third twice. He then moved into MotoGP™ in 2016, first with a Honda powered Marc VDS machine and then the Esponsorama Racing-Ducati for three seasons from 2018. A severe injury sustained in 2018 meant he missed the end of the campaign but he was back on the bike for 2019. He’s also competed in the Spanish Superbike championship, winning the title in 2022.
